Excitor enhances enterprise mobility with new Android-solution

With Excitor’s mobile device management solution for Android-based phones, enterprises can easily manage and secure Android mobile devices such as Google Nexus One, HTC Magic and Sony Ericsson X10. The DME client makes it secure for employees to handle and synchronize e-mails and personal information on the phone while away from the office.

As Android is the emerging mobile platform for the enterprise market, there is a need for securing the employees’ mobility without the risk of losing critical company information. As employees are offered mobile phones for work purposes, more and more applications and confidential data end up on these devices.

DME for Android phones gives the users full access to corporate e-mails and useful search functions without compromising security. It also synchronizes calendar information, as well as address books, and makes it possible for the users to book, reschedule and cancel meetings or accept or decline meeting invitations.
The information flow is encrypted, as is the storage of e-mails, calendar and data in attachments. The solution is password protected, and the high security level is also maintained through the possibility of a remote wipe of all data on the phone if it is lost.
With DME for Android devices, IT departments can rest assured that managers and employees can securely access e-mails and contacts while on the road. There will be no data breaches or violations of corporate security policies. At the same time, the IT department can manage all the phones remotely and keep full inventory of them for better support when needed.
